Pennies for Patients

The goal of the Pennies for Patients program is to raise money to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  All money given to the Society will be directed toward patient aid and research to help find a cure.  Leukemia and Lymphoma are two types of blood cancer; the Society was founded in 1949, dedicating its resources to helping find a cure.  WCHS students participated whole heartedly in the three week program.  All second period classes were in a competition to see who could raise the most money.  Mrs. Chel’s second period class won, donating $1,001.17!  WCHS students raised a total of over $3,000.00 for the cause.

Thanks to the generosity of WCHS students, more people will now be able to afford treatment and improve their quality of life.
