WCHS Graduation

Graduation at Whittier Christian High School has always been more than a ceremony. It is a moment that reflects the heart of our mission and the strength of our community. Over the years, our commencement has been held in some of the most memorable venues in Southern California. For many years, graduation took place at the iconic Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove. As our community grew, we transitioned to Eastside Church and then eventually to Whittier Area Community Church where we continue to gather to celebrate the achievements and growth of our graduating class.

Our graduation is a family affair in every sense of the word. Parents, siblings, grandparents and friends fill the sanctuary to cheer on students they have walked with through seasons of challenge and growth. Teachers and coaches line the halls and embrace their students with the pride of mentors who know the stories behind each diploma. The event is filled with joyful music, heartfelt reflections and moments of deep gratitude as students take their next steps with courage and faith.

Each year we also recognize students who have demonstrated excellence in character, leadership and service. Awards presented include the William R McKinley Student Government Award, John Kimber Ministry Award, Gregory Eli Memorial Award, Frank A Mercer Award, Lois Freeman Award, A.L. Flory Service Awards, Herald Award, Anne Peterson Faculty Award, Junior Honor Guard, NHS recognition, CSF Life Membership and Valedictorian and Salutatorian honors. These awards reflect the values we strive to build in every student and remind us that graduation is not just a celebration of academics but a reflection of calling, community and Christ-centered growth.
