  • FIRST SEMESTER

    Week 1: All-knowing God, guide our students as they strive to develop their minds. Help our teachers as they work to inspire intellectual growth, and strengthen students as they pursue academic achievement.
    Week 2: Faithful Father, we ask that you would help our faculty and staff to be faithful in their duties, that you may be glorified in all that they do.
    Week 3: God of lovingkindness, give our students an ability to receive your love. Open their hearts to know your heart for them and to understand that your kindness leads to repentance.
    Week 4: God of unity, may our WCHS community inspire us to be one in You and help us to desire servanthood, compassion and love.
    Week 5: Holy Spirit who abides in us, teach us to daily walk in the Fruit of the Spirit, exhibiting Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control.
    Week 6: All-knowing God, reveal to us our sins and forgive our complacency. As Your kindness leads us to genuine repentance so that our lives may bring honor to You.
    Week 7: God, open our eyes to seek you and the vision that You have for WCHS. Produce in us the spiritual fruit that will advance the great work You desire, both for individuals and our community.
    Week 8: King of kings, give strength, wisdom, integrity, and grace to the Board and Administration of Whittier Christian High School. Equip them to carry out Your will, while Your Spirit works in them to accomplish that which is pleasing in Your sight.
    Week 9: God of all knowledge and wisdom, teach us to use our minds rightly. May this academic community produce the thought leaders of tomorrow who will bless the world and further Your Kingdom.
    Week 10: God of encouragement, prepare our Coaches to impart wisdom, encouragement and to cultivate spaces for our athletes to flourish. 
    Week 11: Lord, guide us to become a Christ-centered community that seeks You, awaken us to hear Your voice and sense Your desire for us.
    Week 12: God our counselor, instill within our teachers to give good advice, counsel and direction through their speech, teaching and conversations.
    Week 13: Holy Spirit, strengthen your people at WCHS to proclaim the good news of salvation. Grant mercy and peace to the students, faculty, and staff that they might obey Christ, and reach out in humble service to those in need.
    Week 14: God of creativity, help our Fine Arts department to teach our students to worship You through meaningful and creative expressions.
    Week 15: Giving Father, in all circumstances we give thanks to you. Help us to have a thankful heart in all that we do.
    Week 16: Christ our living Word, who breathed all Scripture, teach us to hear, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest Your Holy Scripture, that we may be equipped to embrace the hope that is in You.
    Week 17: The God of our callings, lead our students to discover your calling in their lives that they may use their strengths, talents, and abilities to be part of what You are doing in the world.
    Week 18: Heavenly Father, your love brought the gift of Jesus to earth, help us to share this gift with others and may our Christmas be filled with kindness.
  • SECOND SEMESTER

    WEEK 19: God of yesterday, today, and tomorrow, this year stretches before us unmapped, uncharted, and unknown. Remind our hearts that You hold this new year in Your hand, and help us to relax in that knowledge.
    WEEK 20: Heavenly Father, guide both those who teach and those who learn to find You as the source of all truth. As we pursue critical thinking, direct us to sound learning, new discovery, and increased wisdom.
    WEEK 21: Seeker of the lost, we pray for those in the WCHS community who have not yet received Christ into their lives. May they respond to the invitation of the Holy Spirit.
    WEEK 22: Abba, Father, train us to love deeply, sincerely, and sacrificially. Open our eyes to see others as You do, and empower us to daily model Your compassion.
    WEEK 23: God of Provision, we trust You with our enrollment. We ask that You will bring those students who should attend WCHS, and we pray that we will be faithful to teach, inspire, and prepare each one on our campus.
    WEEK 24: Father, help our WCHS community to have virtuous conversations with one another, being unified in our faith and always displaying love toward one another.
    WEEK 25: Father, please help our students to take ownership of their faith. May they seek truth now and throughout their lives, always growing closer to You.
    WEEK 26: Our Visionary God, we ask You to give our students a heart to first know You and receive direction for their lives, asking You to open doors that no man can shut, and close doors that no man can open. Give them a vision for their lives.
    WEEK 27: Holy Spirit, may WCHS be a united campus, being of the same mind and having the same love of Christ.
    WEEK 28: God, who never grows weary, help us to fight the good fight as we yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit. Give us Your vision for WCHS, and lead us to live an authentic Christian life that glorifies Your Name.
    WEEK 29: God of all comfort, we pray for those who are struggling with their faith and ask that You instill confidence in them that they may know Your presence, even in the midst of trials.
    WEEK 30: God of resurrection power, make alive in us the hope of the risen Christ.
    WEEK 31: God Who provides, give us what we do not have, teach us what we do not know, and make us what we ought to be.
    WEEK 32: God of Unity, unite us by Your Spirit in our homes and in our families, that we may be one.
    WEEK 33: God who is our Light in the darkness, illuminate the path of each student to seek Your truth. May You be their light!
    WEEK 34: Giver of all good gifts, increase in us the gifts of faith, hope, and love. May the faculty and staff be gifted by You to lead our students.
    WEEK 35: God who is always faithful, remind us of Your faithfulness. We pray that this reminder will increase our gratitude and contentment as we anticipate what You will do for Your servants at WCHS.
    WEEK 36: Loving God, may our graduating Seniors continue to seek You. Give them wisdom and boldness, as they depend on You. May You continue to challenge them to make this world a better place, living out their Life Calling.
