College advisement at Whittier Christian High School is a deeply personalized journey that helps students discover and prepare for the future God is calling them toward. From their very first year on campus, students are guided with care and intentionality as they begin to explore their gifts, interests and potential career paths.
Our college counseling process is comprehensive and relational. Advisors work one-on-one with students and their families to navigate course selection, build strong academic portfolios, explore colleges and universities and prepare for the application process. Whether students are aiming for a competitive four-year university, a specialized program, or considering a gap year or ministry opportunity, our team walks closely with them every step of the way to help them explore, discover and truly pursue their life calling.
Because of our intentionally designed size, students are never overlooked. They receive the time, attention and encouragement they need to make informed decisions with confidence. Advisors know each student academically, personally and spiritually, which allows us to offer guidance that aligns not only with academic strengths, but also with values, callings and long-term goals.
Workshops, college fairs and campus visits are offered throughout the year to ensure students are exposed to a wide range of opportunities and experiences. Advisors also provide support for financial aid, scholarships, SAT/ACT prep and essay writing, equipping students to present their best selves in the application process.
Our goal is not just to get students into college, but to prepare them for life. We want them to understand who they are, where they are going and how they can serve God in whatever field they choose. This is the heart of our mission: to equip young people to think and live biblically as they pursue excellence in all they do.
