Whittier Christian High School is a diverse learning community that is pleased to welcome International Students from around the world. The below items must be completed and submitted before admissions decision can be released. Student acceptance will be finalized via digital enrollment completion & enrollment deposit received. To get started on the application process, see the steps below:

Interview with our Admissions Director is for the student and at least one parent or guardian, preferably both if currently in the US. If the student is outside of the US, a Zoom interview will be scheduled and a link sent from WCHS.
STEP 3:
GATHER MATERIALS FOR INTERVIEW
Gather the following materials and email copies to cmorrison@wchs.com with applicant's full name and applying grade level in the subject line:
Transcript / Report Cards: Transcripts from current year and previous 2 years of academic work must be submitted before the interview. Transcripts from countries outside the US must be translated into English and be officially notarized.
English Proficiency Score: For planning purposes, an English Proficiency test score should be submitted before the interview or shortly after. During the new International Student Orientation, an official Placement test for English and Math will be given to determine proper course level placement. The following tests are accepted with a listed range of recommended scoring:
DUOLINGO: G9/10: 75 - 80, G11/12: 85 - 90
TOEFL (WCHS code: 8162): G9/10: 45 - 50, G11/12: 60 - 65
iTEP SLATE: G9/10: 3.0, G11/12: 3.6
Submit School Administrator & Teacher Recommendation
Forms: Fill out the top portion of attached forms before giving to your current school to complete. Current school is to submit completed forms directly to WCHS and submit and letter of recommendation on official school letterhead. Teacher form is for a current Math, English, Science or History teacher. Admin form is for current principal, vice-principal or counselor.
Immunization Records & Birth Certificate: Immunization records must be translated into English and be officially notarized. Birth Certificate or valid passport is required by the State of California to show: name of student, date of birth and place of birth.
For students born in Korea, please provide: “Standard Certificate.”
Travel Documentation: Passport, Visa (if applicable), & current I20 (If student is transferring from another US school).
Financial Means of Support: The Department of Homeland Security requires documentation showing proof of financial means support band verification of funds required by INS, translated into US currency.
When all required documentation has been received and the interview conducted, a decision for acceptance can be made. You will receive acceptance notification via the main email given at the start of the application.
