2007 Girls Basketball

On Tuesday evening, at halftime of the girls varsity game, the 2007 CIF Division VAA championship Lady Heralds were recognized on the 10th anniversary of their championship season. This was the first CIF championship in girls basketball history for Whittier Christian High and the first of back to back CIF championship titles. Joining Head Coach Bill Crammer at halftime for the festivities were players Kristen Schaefer, Kimberly Yoshinaga, Whitley Brown and Callie Rohrbacker. The 2007 Whittier Christian High squad defeated league rival Village Christian Crudasders 40-28 on March 3, 2007 at the Long Beach Pyramid. The Lady Heralds won the Alpha League championship with a 9-1 record and finished 24-7 for the season. Coach Crammer was named the division’s Coach of the Year. Players Elissa Ronquillo and Jacko Joseph were named First Team All-CIF and Whitley Brown was named the Division VAA Player of the Year.
